Get the Save the Date Invitations Sent Immediately
If you are designing a wedding, don’t forget the save the date invitations! Yes, believe it or not, it is an easy first step for many couples to forget. But it is vital that you send these out as, particularly around the summer months, there are a lot of people getting married and you want to ensure that your guests know about your wedding and save the date.
The save the date invitations can go out anywhere from three months to nine months ahead of time. Sometimes you may have a wedding that is contrived well in advance, and other times it is a wedding ceremony that is last-minute. Whatever the case may be, the rule of the thumb is to send out the save the date invitations as soon as the venue is booked and confirmed.
Don’t worry about matching these invitations to the main invitations. Most of the time, these invitations will go out far ahead of when the time comes to design your main wedding invitations. That being said, you may go for a simple card or a more extravagant invitation. Mostly, people still get these cards with professional calligraphy. But it is not always necessary and if you’re looking to save some money, you can have these cards printed off your computer or have them professional printed off in a laser design manner.
Again, don’t worry if the colors match the wedding ceremony theme or the invitations. Chances are, no one will even remember if these cards match the invitations or not. The important thing is to get these cards out and into the hands of your future guests as soon as possible. Remember that there are sometimes extensive conflicts with multiple weddings on the same day. If you don’t want to be disappointed with the outcome of your wedding, it is very important to send out these cards as soon as possible.
